SCA will be reopening our community acupuncture service on July 1st!
What you can expect:
Masks are required. All patients must have a mask over their mouth and nose at all times. Due to new CDC guidelines, please no neck gaiters, bandanas or masks with vents or valves.
Our waiting room is closed for now. To avoid gatherings in the waiting room, please wait in your car until I call you to do our covid-19 pre-screen and phone consultation.
To reduce in person contact, all consultations will be done through our online forms using a secure HIPAA compliant platform. There will be no consultations on-site so please fill out the form before your visit.
We use a disinfectant that is just water, salt, vinegar and electricity. It’s called Force of Nature and is on the EPA’s list of disinfectants for use against SARS-CoV-2. You won’t have to worry about inhaling toxic fumes from chemical disinfectants. If you are interested in the product for yourself, please consider purchasing through this link and we’ll get extra capsules:
High contact areas have been limited. The door to the treatment area will be left open at all times. Bathroom points of contact will be cleaned regularly with our chemical free disinfectant.
Our tables have a disposable sheet which is changed between patients. There is also a waterproof sheet under the disposable one that is sprayed down with disinfectant after each patient.
HEPA filter air purifiers with no ozone are in the waiting room and treatment area.
What we ask of you:
Please bring a mask. If you forget, we will have some for $1. But we ask that you don’t rely on us having them on a regular basis. We are trying to keep our overhead low so our prices can remain the same.
Do not bring anyone with you to your treatments. The only exception is patients with disabilities. We would prefer though that they come in with you and then return to the clinic when your visit ends.
Please do not come in if you feel you might be sick. If you have an ongoing cough for any reason, we will not be able to offer acupuncture to you at this time.
Please give us 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule; otherwise, there will be a late cancellation fee. We are running at limited capacity to keep everyone safe so if too many people cancel last minute, it will be hard for us to stay open at our regular prices. If you feel sick, however, we will waive the late fee even if it’s just hours before your appointment.
To limit face to face time, you will receive our covid-19 consent to treat form through email so you can sign online. Everyone must sign this form prior to your first appointment.
Please bring a sweater or something to cover your body. To limit contact between patients, we’d prefer you don’t use the blankets right now.
Please be on time for appointments. If you’re late, your appointment will be shorter or may need to be rescheduled.
